 Sunday, July 31, 2005Tummy TimeMommy is making sure I get my tummy time before bed. She hopes it will help me sleep longer at night. I don't understand what the big deal is at night, but both Mommy and Daddy seem a little upset when I get hungry when they are sleeping. Mommy needed to go do something, and Daddy said "I'll take her", and then I put out my arms and said "I take her"! Boy, her hand are alot smaller than mine:  I help out with other things as well. I have lost some weight and only weigh 5.5 pounds. I have to go back Monday so the doctor can make sure I am gaining weight. Daddy went out and got me some clothes that fit. All of my other clothes were too big. Daddy got some preemie clothes, and although they won't fit me for long, I'll be more comfortable for the next few weeks. I got some lightweight pajamas:  And some heavier pajamas:  posted by Caroline at 2:53 PM Thursday, July 14, 2005BathThe nurses at the hospital gave me a bath after I was born, but this was my first bath since I got home. Even though Mommy was very gentle, I still did not like getting a bath. Mommy washed my hair:  And my legs and feet:  And every other part! When she was all done I was dressed in my pajamas for the night:  posted by Caroline at 11:25 PM Baby Sister Mommy and Caroline are at home now. I stayed with Grandma Jenschke while Mommy was in the hospital. Now we all get to make Caroline part of our family. I checked her out to make sure everything was there. She has fingers:  Hair:  And ears!  She makes loud noises when she gets hungry, so I point to her and tell Mommy and Daddy "baby funny". posted by William at 11:16 PM Monday, July 11, 2005An Early "Hello"I surprised Mommy and Daddy this morning! I made it known that I was to meet them today, so Daddy stayed home from work and took Mommy to the doctor. The doctor confirmed that in fact I would be here "by dinner time". After I got out they poked and prodded me and put yucky stuff in my eyes:  I am slender because I am a bit early. My legs are long and lean:  This evening I was so tired I could not stay awake. Mommy was trying to help me clear some fluid and I feel asleep on her hand:  Now it's back to sleep. I need to rest, as I met my big brother this evening and he has quite a lot of energy!  posted by Caroline at 11:14 PM Monday, July 04, 20054th of July BrewingI got to help Daddy brew today. My big job was to add the hops to the boiling wort. The burner underneath the kettle was really loud and it was really hot. I started to pour in the hops:  Uh oh, half of the hops got stuck in the bottom of the mug Daddy put them in for me:  Oh well, I thought it would be good to just toss the whole mug into the pot!  posted by William at 9:45 PM |
